Mariano F. Zacarías-Fluck
Senior Researcher
Barcelona, Spain
Over two decades in scientific research, I have advanced from foundational training to a Senior Researcher role at a leading Oncology Institute, mastering experimental design, data analysis, and translational research. My career began with a thesis on lymphoma, anchoring my commitment to evidence-based discovery. I have led multi-year projects from conception to publication, managing timelines, budgets, and teams while adapting to evolving scientific challenges. Skilled in critical thinking and problem-solving, I translate complex findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences and mentor junior researchers in collaborative, inclusive environments. My work has driven peer-reviewed publications, secured grant funding, and contributed to preclinical decision-making—demonstrating both scientific excellence and strategic impact. Beyond my scientific background, I have cultivated a deep engagement with cultural and historical research. For over two decades, I have conducted independent genealogical research, combining archival analysis, critical evaluation of sources, and digital documentation. I co-founded and co-managed the website for the Centro de Estudios Genealógicos e Históricos de Rosario (http://genealogiaderosario.com.ar), contributing to the preservation and dissemination of regional heritage. This experience strengthened my abilities in collaborative project management, public outreach, and digital communication. Additionally, I pursued advanced studies in Music Composition at the National University of Rosario, completing three years of a five-year program, which further developed my creativity, discipline, and analytical thinking—qualities essential for innovative problem-solving in complex institutional environments.
