Introducing a New & Friendly Onboarding Experience

We launched xptracker as a tool for anyone interested in using it, but we fully understood it went out without much guidance. The experience was a little obtuse, and admittedly that was a learning experience on our end! With the newly reworked onboarding, not only do you get a step-by-step process to get you started, you also have the option to upload your existing resume and automatically store its contents to your account. From there, you can review everything before it's saved — edit job titles, remove old entries, or tweak anything that didn't parse quite right. Nothing hits your profile until you say so. For those who'd rather start from scratch, you can skip the import entirely and build things out yourself. Either way, once you're in, there's a getting-started checklist on the dashboard to help you fill in the basics without having to hunt around.

Public Journal Entries & Bluesky Sharing

It's finally here! You can now share your journal entries via a public link and, optionally, share your public journal entries to Bluesky! To do so, mark your journal entry public from the "Career Journal" page, and then click the corresponding Bluesky butterfly icon to preview and share.

Sharing a journal entry.

You can share your journal entries by making them public (off by default). Doing so gives you a publicly shareable link and allows you to post your entry to Bluesky. Your entry will also appear on your public journal entry feed, where you can view all of your public journal entries at once.

What is your career journal?

Your career journal is your place to jot down anything you feel is noteworth about your career. You can use it for keeping track of accomplishments, lessons learned, team contributions, or anything else really. Down the line, when you're applying to jobs or looking back at what you've accomplished, you can reference your career journal not just as a point of reference, but inspiration for new narratives about how your career has come together!
