Roadmap to MVP & Beyond
It's finally here! xptracker has been in the works for quite some time. What began as a one‑off feature on Roman’s personal portfolio (now offline) spun out into an idea for a fully‑fledged service—a service aimed at making job applications easier and less time‑consuming.
How will xptracker help me?
At it's core, xptracker is simply your own personal database. It gives you one place to store and organize work experiences, academic achievements, skills, projects, and more. Every entry can be tagged with labels you create. When it’s time to apply for a job, just select the set of labels that best match the role, download your resume in `.doc` format, make any minor tweaks, and send it off. No more juggling 20+ resume versions on your laptop—or, in Roman’s case, scattered across Google Docs (see screenshot below).

This process is especially painful for tech professionals, where the industry evolves so quickly that employers often demand the latest buzzwords. A developer, for instance, might need to showcase AWS experience for one role and Azure for another. With xptracker, you can filter those keywords with a single click. Although it was built by and for software developers, the tool works for many other fields—academia, grant management, payroll, etc. The possibilities are endless.
Great, so when is it launching and what features can I expect?
We’re a small team of three, each holding full‑time jobs across different time zones, so we appreciate your patience. Our goal is a public release by the end of July or early August November. Between now and then we’ll run an early‑access program to test functionality and polish the product for launch.
Features you can look forward to (rolling out continuously) include:
- A personal resume dashboard where you can control, filter, and download your resumes.
- Optional public‑sharing links (handy at networking events when you don’t have a printed copy).
- A job‑tracking board to monitor your applications.
- Opt‑in AI assistance for tailoring résumés, getting feedback on sections, and suggesting label structures.
More features are on the roadmap, but this list captures our top priorities for the coming months. If you have questions or want to join the early‑access testing, please reach out via our support page.
Thanks!
