Resume Templates & Upcoming Updates

Hey there!

Roman here, writing to tell you about an exciting update that just went live for all xptracker users: resume templates! Resume templates allow you to change the styling of your resume on the fly. You can access them from your resume dashboard via a new dropdown in your resume settings -- see screenshot below.

So far, we've only introduced one extra template -- an ATS-friendly option. The major accomplishment here is the basic templating framework, which is officially setup and ready to be put to use. So expect more template options to drop soon! And don't worry, all future template options will be free.

For now, here's the two most important things to note about templates:

  • Your template selection reflects on your public resume -- only affects users who made their resume's public.

  • Your template selection will also be reflected in your downloaded resume.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us via our support page. Aside from that, here's a few exciting features we have in the works:

  • A job application tracking board. So you can track which jobs you've applied to, what resume you used when applying, and the status of your application.

  • Career journaling. Keep track of all your achievements, milestones, and contributions at work in a free-form open ended journal. Then when it comes time to update your resume, reference your journal for ideas.

  • Resume uploads. That's right. We get it. No one wants to have to enter everything into a new app manually, when they've already put the work into their existing resume. Rest assured, we're working on introducing this feature as soon as possible.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading!
